Council notes
One month on Miesbach town council.
After two meetings, the main impression was not certainty but the size of the learning curve. Local politics compresses law, history, budgets and very specific places into one agenda.
The first meetings
Preparation begins long before the public vote. Documents have their own language, earlier decisions matter and a short agenda item can contain years of local history. Asking basic questions is part of doing the work properly.
Kleinthal flood protection
The planned flood-retention basin in Kleinthal showed how technical planning and the everyday experience of residents meet. Capacity, land, water flow, cost and safety all have to be weighed together.

What I took away
A vote is the visible end of a much longer process. I want to keep documenting that process, including the questions that are still open.
