Music
Uphills turns climbs into loops.
Six tracks made from guitars, filters, delays and small electronic movements. The same repetition that defines a long climb became the way the music was written.
The record
Uphills is my first solo release. It grew from short loops rather than a fixed song architecture. Repetition creates room for a sound to change gradually without losing its centre.
- Six instrumental tracks
- Guitar, loops and electronic effects
- Artwork based on GPX traces from real climbs
From cycling to sound
On a climb, the legs repeat the same circle while the road and the body change. The tracks use that tension: a phrase remains recognisable, but filters, dynamics and layers keep moving around it.
Physical edition and live material
The project also includes vinyl and CD editions, videos, live recordings and shirts based on the route artwork.
